FASTENERS - A4 & A2 STAINLESS STEEL

Thank you for browsing our Fastener range. We cover most forms of fasteners, but all in quality A2 and A4 Stainless Steel. This means they combine perfectly with the rest of our product range, and make us a great choice for anyone working in the food and drink manufacturing, marine and aviation industries. Some of our range is also available in A4-80 Stainless Steel, which has higher tensile properties to take even greater strain. Much of our range is available for immediate dispatch, but we also offer certain, less common sizes and types of fastener on a long lead time basis. Please fill out the form below to let us know what type of fastener you require, the size and quantity or alternatively you can call us for more information on these products.

Chipboard Screws

Chipboard is made up of wood dust or wood chips, and resin. As such, it has no natural grain to resist a screw withdrawing. Chipboard screws have a thin shaft and coarse threads. This avoids splitting and the coarse grain keeps them securely in place. They can be used to fasten chipboard to chipboard, or chipboard to wood. They are most often used in cabinetry and flooring. We stock a large range of sizes in countersunk and pan head styles, in both A2 and A4 Stainless Steel.

Hexagon Head & Bolts

Our Hexagon Head range includes shanked and fully threaded, high tensile, flanged, mushroom head and coach bolt styles. Available in a wide variety of lengths and Metric sizes. Ask us for lead times and prices on Imperial Hex Bolts.

Hose Clamps

Our hose clamps use worm gear tightening for ease of use when joining hose or tubing to a fitting or nipple. They are available in two thicknesses - standard and heavy, and in a wide range of sizes, as well as in A2 and A4 Stainless Steel. Commonly used in plumbing. Our parts are Stainless Steel and therefore suitable for marine as well as domestic environments.

Machine Screws

Machine Screws are a fully threaded bolt available with a variety of head styles. Mainly used on metal surfaces, with an existing, tapped hole in conjunction with a matching nut. The shape of the slot in the head dictates what type of screwdriver is to be used. In some cases, a star-type shaped slot is used, this is a torx head, and it is a security machine screw. The shape of the head itself varies so that you can choose to have a completely smooth finish, by using a flathead, or a raised or rounded finish by using those head types.

Nuts

We stock a comprehensive range of Stainless Steel Nuts, that should suit all needs and environments. From your standard Hex Nuts, to Thin, Left Threaded, Square and with Nylon Insert. Available in A2, A4 and A4-80 grade material. We stockhold Metric nuts, confirming to DIN standards, but we are happy to take enquiries for UNC and UNF Imperial sizes.

Security Screws

Security screws are useful in preventing vandalism and tampering. There are many options on the market, including one way screws and may styles of screws that are difficult to remove without specialist tools. We stock Pin Torx Head screws. These feature a six pointed star head with a pin in the middle. These are sometimes called Star Drive Pin, Torx or Resistorx security screws. They are great for high torque applications, and being two-way screws, they can be installed and removed later, which makes them one of the most versatile security screws. We stock these specialist screws in a large range of sizes in A2 Stainless Steel.

Self Drilling

In addition to our self tapping range, we also stock self drilling screws. These screws eliminate the need to pre-drilling and tapping by incorporating this function into one driving motion. You can tell them apart by their fluted drill-like tip. We stock these in A2 Stainless Steel.

Self Tapping Screws

Self-tapping screws are a handy addition to your toolbox. Designed to save you time, they 'tap their own hole'. They can be used with soft and hard substrates. Our range come in A2 Stainless Steel. Some DIN standards also available in A4 Stainless Steel.

Socket Screws

Socket screws are used for their strength and versatility. Their smaller head means they can be used in tight spaces, and use of either allen key or socket head screwdriver means that installation is easy in most situations. The head also disperses the load evenly across the underside of the head, meaning that an additional washer is often not required. Our socket screws are available in metric sizes ranging from micro M1.6 up to mega M30. Our range includes both cap screws and set screws.

Studs

Our stud, or threaded rod, is a useful fastening solution in conjunction with any of our nuts and eyenuts. You can cut this product to size. It can also be welded to add thread to other components or to secure nuts in place. A2 (304 Stainless Steel) studs are marked with green ends, and A4 (316 Stainless Steel) studs are marked with red ends. We stock A2 and A4 Stainless Steel in 1m lengths. Call us for availability for 2 and 3m lengths.

Washers

We stock a full range of washers to suit all your needs. From plain washers to spring washers, to toothed washers, in A2 and A4 Stainless Steel, you will find the right washer for the job.

Wood Screws

Wood screws are the main stay of any DIYer and tradesman. Most commonly availble these days in Pozidrive and Slotted head types. For those aiming for Phillips style head, we advise using Pozidrive. Wood screws typically have a shank to allow movement in the upper portion of the two pieces of wood being joined together. We stock a large range of sizes, and also sell wood screw packs.
